Care and cleaning of your coffee grinder

The grinder must only be cleaned with a paper towel.
Do not use an alkaline cleaning agent.
Do not spray coffee grinder with water and/or steam.

Any of the above can result in a short-circuit and therefore damage the unit.
The use of alkalis can affect the flavor of the coffee.
The coffee grinder should be cleaned out at least once weekly and continually if soiled.

Before cleaning the coffee grinder, switch motor off AND 
REMOVE THE POWER CABLE FROM THE OUTLET

Cleaning of body and shell

Use only dry paper towel to clean the body shell, lid cover, and the inside of the hopper.

Cleaning of the discharge tube

Use dry brush and dry paper towel to clear the in- and outside of the discharge tube from any coffee particles.

Cleaning of the hopper magnet

Dismantle hopper, cover plate and lid cover. Use dry paper towel and/or brush to clear the hopper and built-in magnet from any coffee particles.

Cleaning of the grinding chamber and grinding discs must only be performed by persons familiar with the unit and after carefully reading the following instruction.

Remove stationary disc flange by releasing screws.

Use dry paper towel and brush to clear the grinding chamber and grinding discs from any coffee particles.

Make sure that both mating surfaces of stationary disc flange and grinding chamber are absolutely clean before reassembly. Failure to do so will result in inconsistent grinds.

Reassemble parts in reverse sequence. Tighten all screws.

Retighten screws of the stationary disc flange. For this purpose, the cover including the hopper must be dismantled and then re-fitted.

Perform basic calibration according to the calibration instructions provided here.
