Grinding Discs
ditting® grinding discs have a long life expectancy with regular wear. The following chart is based on normal grinding on a medium setting. Life expectancy will shorten with the finer grinds simply because the discs will be working harder and wearing out at a faster rate than with coarser grinds.
This is only an approximation of when discs should be changed. You will become more familiar with use if the discs are wearing down and should be changed or resharpened. Some signs of wear are:
We have service steps here to assist you in installing new discs into your grinder. Discs can usually be resharpened up to a maximum of three times if they have been properly cared for. We recommend you have two sets of discs to use: one in the grinder and one on hand as a spare set.
To order resharpened discs, we must first receive your dull discs to measure and confirm that we are able to resharpen them. We are not able to send you resharpened discs prior to seeing and measuring your dull discs. Please mail your dull discs to our U.S. warehouse at:
